The excitement and charm of the Old West come alive at Donley's Wild West Town in Union, Illinois. Here you can experience life in the style of the Wild West where gunslingers have showdowns, and a narrow gauge train whistles past the Blacksmith's Shop, Print Shop, Jail, Saloon and Sweet Phyllis Gold Mine.
The Illinois Railway Museum's Pullman Library was formed in 1992 with the acquisition of Pullman Companies materials from Pullman Technology, a division of Bombardier of Canada. The Pullman Library supplies copies of materials in the collection under license from Bombardier who holds title. The Pullman Library is not open to the public except by appointment.

The Illinois Railway Museum is a Museum in Motion. Watch now, as a little red streetcar clangs across Depot Street on the car line, or as the thundering steam train whistles past on the mainline, or perhaps as the gleaming streamliner simply whispers by. These artifacts don't just sit there, they move!
The Strahorn Library, located at 118 East Washington Street in nearby Marengo, is a non-circulating research library which focuses on all aspects of railroading. Reference materials include books, periodicals, professional journals, government publications, videotapes, slides, and photographs.

The comprehensive collection includes several preserved buildings: An 1847 log cabin; an 1885 town hall, now known as Perkins Hall; an 1895 one-room school house used for c.1900 school programs; and a 20th Century modern tourist cabin. In 1982, a local history research library was added to the museum; in 2002, the Society acquired the Pringle School, located on River Road, the limestone building is in the process of being restored.
